AMEC Wins Tension Leg Platform Front End Engineering and Design Contract

Rockhopper Exploration plc announced that Premier Oil has now formally awarded the Tension Leg Platform (TLP) Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contract to AMEC. As Premier confirmed in its recent IMS, pre-development activities on the Sea Lion project continue to progress, and on the TLP, following the functional specification and basis of design being finalized, the award of the FEED contract to AMEC has now been made. In the second half of the year, a geotechnical survey will be performed at the Sea Lion location and the results of this will be incorporated into the FEED process, which is expected to take around 12 months to complete.

Eni S.p.A. Selects AMEC for Environmental Service Framework Contract

Eni S.p.A. has announced that its exploration & production division has selected AMEC for a worldwide framework contract for multidisciplinary environmental services. This is a renewal of AMEC's existing framework contract with Eni E&P, which has been extended to include surface and groundwater assessment, remediation design, execution and monitoring, alongside previously supplied environmental, social and health impact assessment support. Through this new two-year framework, extendable by a further year, AMEC is positioned to support Eni on a worldwide basis in both the exploration and production phases of its activity. AMEC supported Eni under the previous framework across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North and West Africa.
