The merger talks between Chadbourne & Parke, L.L.P. and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP have been called off, as reported by The Lawyer. According to sources, one of the main causes for the lack of success of the merger is the firm's 1:1 partner associate ratio. Pillsbury’s Firm Chair, Jim Rishwain declined to comment. Chadbourne did not return requests for comment.
