Parallon Technology Solutions, LLC announced the appointment of Dr. Charles Bell, D.O., RPh, as chief medical officer. In his new role, Dr. Bell will provide physician leadership in the development and implementation of information technology to support care delivery and data capture with particular emphasis on clinical information systems and electronic health records in hospital and ambulatory care environments. Prior to joining the company, Dr. Bell served as vice president of Advanced Clinical Applications for Hospital Corporation of America. In that role, he served as corporate physician champion for MEDITECH 6.x and Epic projects and as corporate physician lead for HCA's Cerner facility. Earlier, Dr. Bell was chief medical information officer at Northern Arizona Healthcare and a physician informaticist at Catholic Healthcare West.
Parallon Appoints Curtis Watkins as President and CEO

Parallon announced Curtis Watkins has been named president and CEO of Parallon’s Technology Solutions business unit, effective immediately. Watkins has served as the interim president for Parallon Technology Solutions since October 2014. Watkins has more than 20 years of healthcare IT experience, including IT strategic consulting, systems strategy development and leadership. As president and CEO of Parallon’s Technology Solutions, Watkins is responsible for the strategic implementation and support of information technology services, applications and processes for Parallon clients. Prior to his current role, Watkins served as vice president and chief strategy officer for Parallon’s Technology Solutions business unit. He held the position of corporate vice president and deputy chief information officer for Community Health Systems (CHS) before transitioning to Parallon. Earlier in his career, he served as chief information officer for St. David's HealthCare, as well as a program director with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), successfully leading one of the largest IT realignments in the company's history. Watkins serves on the board of directors of the Nashville Technology Council and is an avid supporter of the United Way.

Parallon announced the appointment of David Osborn, Ph.D., to the position of senior vice president of Parallon Consulting Services, effective November 10, 2014. In this role, Osborn will spearhead the vision and expansion of the enterprise-wide consulting capabilities within Parallon's four key business areas: revenue cycle management, supply chain, technology and labor management. Osborn's career spans 30 years with healthcare consulting and leadership experience across the healthcare spectrum. Most recently, he served as the healthcare practice director and market leader for KPMG, LLP. Osborn serves on the board of directors for the Make a Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee and is an advisory board member for the American Heart Association.
