Enerkem Raises CAD 115.4 million Funding for Future Expansion of Biomethanol Production

Enerkem has raised CAD 152.6 million in funding for the expansion of its Enerkem Alberta Biofuels full-scale facility in Edmonton and global growth. Enerkem uses its proprietary technology to convert non-recyclable municipal solid waste into methanol, ethanol and other widely used chemical intermediates. The funding includes CAD 29 million debt facility from Integrated Asset Management's (IAM) Private Debt Group as well as CAD 50 million in private placements from current investors and CAD 73.6 million of debt from two other lenders.
