Herbert Smith Freehills' deputy senior partner Mark Crean, who lost leadership elections to James Palmer last year, has left the firm to join Jones Day in Australia. Crean had been chairman of legacy Freehills for over a year before the merger, and later filled the role of deputy senior partner at the merged firm for over two years.
