Dignity Health Appoints Todd Strumwasser As its New Head of Operations for the San Francisco Bay Area

Dignity Health has named Dr. Todd Strumwasser as its new head of operations for the San Francisco Bay Area. Strumwasser, who had been chief executive of two hospitals in Seattle's Swedish Health Services system, Swedish First Hill and Swedish Cherry Hill, starts in his new job as senior vice president of operations for Dignity Health's Bay Area Service Area on February 2015. Dignity Health's new regional leader will be responsible for St. Mary's Medical Center and Saint Francis Memorial Hospital in San Francisco, Redwood City's Sequoia Hospital, and Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz. He will also play a role in other "key areas across Dignity Health," including acute care, outpatient services, philanthropy, physician alignment and alternative health care delivery.
