Engine Capital Explores Sale Of MYR Group
Dec 8 15
Engine Capital LP believes the Board of MYR Group should immediately commence a process to explore all strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value with the help of a top-tier investment bank. One of the options that the Board should consider is a sale of MYR Group. Potential buyers include Primoris Services Corporation (NasdaqGS:PRIM), MasTec, Inc. (NYSE:MTZ), Matrix Service Company (NasdaqGS:MTRX), Pike Corporation, international companies such as Grupo Isolux Corsán, S.A. and private equity firms. In an industry where scale matters, the acquisition of MYRG would allow a buyer to add well north of $100 million of EBITDA post-synergies.
