Catholic Health Initiatives Announces Earnings Results for the Second Quarter of 2015

Catholic Health Initiatives announced earnings results for the second quarter of 2015. For the quarter, the company's earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization, excluding business combination gains and before restructuring were $290.5 million for the second quarter, a 7.5% operating EBIDA margin. Operating revenue was $4.3 billion, compared to $3.5 billion in the first quarter, nearly 20% increase. The company's operating income before restructuring, including gains from business acquisitions of $406 million related to two health systems now part of CHI was $419.9 million in the second quarter ending December 31, 2014.

Catholic Health Initiatives to Lay Off 1,500 Workers Nationally

Catholic Health Initiatives has begun the process of laying off about 1,500 employees across the country. The layoffs will focus on administrative and support staff and will continue through the end of January 2015.
