Andersen Corporation announced the investment of more than $45 million in facilities and equipment in a major expansion of its
Cottage Grove and North Branch, Minnesota operations. The company officially opened its newest manufacturing facility in Bayport, Minnesota. The plant will manufacture Andersen 100 Series products. In addition, company officials announced a second major expansion at the company's Cottage Grove and North Branch facilities. The expansion will support the future growth of the company's Renewal by Andersen window replacement business and the extrusion of a proprietary composite material technology used in both Renewal by Andersen and 100 Series products. The combined investment is expected to bring over 300 new jobs to the state of Minnesota.

Andersen has introduced Building Information Models (BIM) in Revit software, bringing best-in-class window and door families that meet the rigorous quality standards of Autodesk Seek. Features of the new tools include: Various exterior and interior trim options depicting interaction with the host wall; five grille patterns available within the same family and an option to configure the number of grille bars; the ability to change rough opening sizes to provide flexibility for the designed installation method; over 75 standard colors, stains and wood species; optimized detail at the Coarse, Medium and Fine levels. Initial Andersen product lines available include aluminum-clad E-Series, vinyl-clad 400 Series, and composite material 100 Series. The company continues to address the needs of architects with ongoing development of addition tools available in the future.

Renewal by Andersen, a division of Andersen Corporation, recently promoted Troy Barrow to vice president, Marketing, Grant Davis to vice president, Company Owned Retail Operations, and Jeanne Junker to vice president, Affiliate Retail Operations.
