Amway plans to expand its presence in Mexico and to open three new stores in Sonora, Guerrero and Puebla, in which it will invest USD 300,000 (EUR 277,000). Amway's plan is to cover all major cities in Mexico, which it sees as one of the most important markets in Latin America, Jose Paez, head of Amway Mexico. Amway has doubled its presence in Mexico in the past three years. Currently, the company has 16 stores in Nuevo Leon, Jalisco, Mexico City, Tijuana, Chihuahua, and Leon, among others. Amway also has a distribution centre in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon, and has earmarked USD 200,000 for its modernisation and expansion.
