Ace Hardware Corporation has announced the promotion of Dan Miller as vice president of retail operations and new business, and Brian Wiborg as vice president of retail development and supply. In their new roles, Dan and Brian will be laser focused on passion to continuously improve the retail store model. Miller a long-time member of the Ace team, has been with the company for 33 years. He began his career with Ace in 1981 as a District Manager, with subsequent assignments as Retail Services Manager; Store Development Manager; International Sales Manager - Europe & Middle East; Regional Manager and Manager, New Business. In Oct. 1998, Miller was promoted to Director, Retail Operations residing in Denver, Colo., where he was responsible for field operations west of the Mississippi River. Miller succeeds Kane Calamari as vice president of Retail Operations and New Business. Calamari recently transitioned to the role of vice president of Human Resources, Organizational Development and Communications for Ace Hardware. Wiborg rejoined Ace in Dec. 2013 as Director of Category Management and Business to Business. In his new role as vice president of Retail Development and Supply, Wiborg oversees Category Management, Retail Pricing, Retail Training, Retail Development, Store Systems & Operations, and Business to Business. Prior to joining Ace Hardware, Wiborg worked at The Room Place, where he was vice president of Marketing. He worked for Ace from 1994 to 2010 as an Inventory Analyst, Associate Buyer, Category Manager, and Director of Marketing and Advertising.
