Tribune Broadcasting Names Jon Hitchcock as Vice President and General Manager of WTIC-TV and WCCT-TV

Tribune Broadcasting announced that Jon Hitchcock has been named vice president and general manager of WTIC-TV and WCCT-TV. He starts April 6, 2015. Hitchcock will be in charge of strategic planning and daily operations for WTIC, a Fox affiliate, and WCCT, a CW affiliate. He will report to Lynda King, chief operating officer of Tribune Broadcasting. Hitchcock spent 17 years at WTNH-TV and WCTX-TV in New Haven. Recently, he was a president and general manager of KYW-TV and WPSG-TV, the CBS stations in Philadelphia. Hitchcock replaces Chris Geiger, who resigned in December after less than a year on the job.
