OnTrac Key Developments
OnTrac Introduces DirectPost; Partners with Newegg Inc
Nov 21 14
OnTrac introduced DirectPost, a mail product that combines the strength of the United States Postal Service with the regional speed of OnTrac. Shippers now have a faster, more affordable alternative for residential parcel delivery. As a USPS Workshare Partner, OnTrac will inject deliveries straight into DDUs, SCFs and NDCs, giving shippers faster access to customers serviced from over 2,000 postal facilities within its eight-state service area. The regional hub-and-spoke model employed across the eight state OnTrac service area enables the company to make next-day deliveries at distances of up to 500 miles. By leveraging OnTrac's territorial advantage, DirectPost combines inexpensive postal rates plus an improved customer experience through faster time in transit. The same trucks, same invoices, same pickup times, software, drop boxes and customer service representative make the transition to OnTrac's mail product seamless. Additionally, the faster transit time of OnTrac Ground plus one day means DirectPost customers will receive their shipments faster.
OnTrac announced Newegg as the first customer. Newegg Inc. will be the first company to use DirectPost from OnTrac. Newegg is expected to begin shipping DirectPost shipments during the heavy-volume holiday shipping season.
