Sunpower, Inc. Introduces The CryoTel® Cube Cryogenic Cooling System
Oct 23 14
Sunpower Inc. announced the release of the CryoTel® Cube cryogenic cooling system. This latest addition to the Sunpower cryocooler portfolio brings a maintenance-free, high-performance, high-reliability cryogenic cooling system to the laboratory cryogenic market. The CryoTel Cube incorporates Sunpower's CryoTel GT cryocooler. Users can turn on the Cube and have instant cryogenic cooling from a maintenance-free solution that eliminates the hassle of handling liquid nitrogen. The CryoTel Cube can operate in multiple orientations with no degradation in performance. The cryocooler is mounted on vibration isolation mounts to reduce exported vibration. An optional Active Vibration Cancellation system further reduces exported vibration to levels consistent with liquid nitrogen. The CryoTel Cube includes everything needed to quickly reach cryogenic temperatures at 40 “150 kelvins, making the system an excellent solution for meeting laboratory or OEM cryogenic requirements. Applications for the Cube, and for all Sunpower cryocoolers, include materials research, high-temperature superconductivity, cryogenic preservation, germanium and infrared detectors, cold traps, laser cooling, and medical devices. Sunpower's high-reliability cryocoolers are suitable for use anywhere liquid nitrogen is used.
Sunpower Inc. Releases the CryoTel® DS 1.5 Stirling Cryocooler
Aug 27 14
Sunpower Inc. announced the release of the CryoTel® DS 1.5 Stirling Cryocooler. This new addition to the Sunpower cryocooler portfolio brings gas-bearing technology to the mibni cyrocooler market. The advantages of the CryoTel DS 1.5 over existing technologies are a higher power density, a longer life, and a higher efficiency. The DS 1.5 features a dual-opposed-piston pressure wave generator and a separate cold head to minimize exported vibration and acoustic noise. An optional passive balancer further reduces cold head vibration for sensitive applications. Both the cold head and the pressure wave generator can be mounted in any orientation. The CryoTel DS 1.5 offers maximum performance, reliability, and efficiency throughout its lifetime. Potential applications include high-temperature superconductivity, infrared detectors, radio frequency receivers or antennas, astronomical telescopes, or any application in which temperatures reach 125-40 Kelvin. The nominal heat lift of the new product is 1.5 watts at 77 Kelvin. Sunpower's high-reliability cryocoolers are suitable for use anywhere liquid nitrogen is used. They provide cryogenic cooling for such applications as radioisotope detection, materials research, high-temperature superconductivity, cryogenic preservation, laser cooling and medical devices.
