Sterling Construction Company Inc. announced that its affiliate, Texas Sterling Construction Company was the apparent low bidder on a $38 million Texas Department of Transportation project. The project consists of six miles of rural paving, dirt work, storm drains and two sets of bridges northeast of McKinney in Collin County, TX, about one hour north of Dallas. The project is scheduled to begin in August 2014 and to take approximately 32 months to complete.

Sterling Construction Company Inc. hired Peter Holland as the new CEO of its Texas Sterling Construction Co. subsidiary. He replaces Doug Clements, who recently left the company to pursue other interests closer to his family in the Utah/Nevada region.
