Cohn & Wolfe announced the appointment of David Herrick as President of the U.S. region. With more than twenty years of experience advising major global brands in the corporate, technology, consumer and health sectors, Herrick will oversee and drive business across all the company offices in the U.S. His responsibilities include operational and strategic oversight, client service and satisfaction, new business and employee development and retention. Herrick will also lead the agency’s New York headquarters, where he will be based. He will report to Jim Joseph, Chief Integrated Marketing Officer and President of the Americas. Herrick joins the company from MWW, where he was Chief Operating Officer and led client service, agency culture and overall growth across MWW offices including New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. He also oversaw the agency’s HR, IT, marketing and business development functions. He has provided senior-level strategic counsel to global brands across North America, Europe and Asia, including Subaru, Walgreens, American Express, Booking.com, Skype and eBay. Prior to his role as COO, Herrick was General Manager of MWW, overseeing its New York office. Previously, Herrick worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb developing a marketing communications program to align the company’s global workforce with a new corporate strategy. He also led the consumer technology practice for Ruder Finn in San Francisco. Herrick is currently Chair of the American Diabetes Association Community Leadership Board of Greater New York City, where he leads a series of fundraising efforts to benefit diabetes research and prevention. Herrick also sits on the Communications Advisory Board of The Ethisphere Institute.

Cohn & Wolfe announced the elevation of Megha Sharma as associate managing director. She succeeds Rafi Khan, who is exiting the company by the end of May. Sharma will report in to Angelina Ong, who was named president of the Asia-Pacific region earlier this year. Sharma led the Delhi office for three years before her elevation. Prior to joining Cohn & Wolfe, she was senior vice-president at Fleishman-Hillard.

Cohn & Wolfe announced the promotion of Jonathan Tan to Associate Managing Director of its Malaysia office. In his new role, Tan will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of Malaysia's operations including client satisfaction, new business and professional development. Tan will report to Adrian Lee, Group Managing Director for Cohn & Wolfe Southeast Asia. Since joining the agency in 2010, Tan has helped Cohn & Wolfe Malaysia become one of the best performing offices in the Asia-Pacific region, posting consistent year-on-year double-digit revenue growth and a client retention rate of over 90%. The agency also appointed Vanitha Mani Thevaratnam as Account Director and promoted Kiranjeet Kaur and Crystalbelle Lau to Associate Account Director and Senior Consultant, respectively. Thevaratnam brings eight years of integrated marketing communications and event management experience, including consumer marketing roles at Weber Shandwick and Dentsu Aegis Network Malaysia.
