Mr. Schellschmidt comes to Fried Frank from Linklaters, where he joined as an associate in 2005 and was promoted to managing associate in 2008, working in both Frankfurt and London.

Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP announced that Mark Mifsud, Kate Downey and Alexandra Conroy will join the Firm as partners in the Asset Management Practice, resident in the London office. Mr. Mifsud, Ms. Downey and Ms. Conroy advise fund sponsors and financial institutions across a broad range of asset classes, including private equity, venture and growth, infrastructure, credit and real estate. They also provide advice on carried interest, co-investment and other incentive arrangements. Before joining Fried Frank, Mr. Mifsud, Ms. Downey and Ms. Conroy were private funds partners in the London office of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP.

Fried Frank is hiring a banking partner from Hogan Lovells to become the firm's first head of finance in London. Hogan Lovells banking partner Stuart Brinkworth is joining Fried Frank's London office as head of the financial team from 1 September. Brinkworth, who has been a partner at Hogan Lovells since 2010, has acted on a variety of UK domestic and cross-border leveraged finance transactions, including private equity-backed leveraged buy-outs, public bids and corporate M&A.
