St. Elizabeth Healthcare to Establish a Resource Center Called the Precision Medicine Innovation Station
Mar 8 16
St. Elizabeth Healthcare plans to expand genetic testing of patients to personalize the treatment of depression and mental illness. The pilot project will be launched this year by St. Elizabeth, which along with SUN Behavioral Health broke ground last month on a $40 million hospital in Erlanger that will focus on mental health and addiction services. St. Elizabeth will establish a resource center called the Precision Medicine Innovation Station. Patients and their families will be able to identify doctors who offer precision medicine testing and receive direct access to their test results there. They also will be able to sign up for support services such as genetic counselors and medication financial assistance programs and join peer support communities.
