Gary Blank, who had been chief clinical officer and chief nursing officer, is now COO of St. E, which has an annual budget of about $1 billion and more than 7,300 employees. Chris Carle was named the first CEO of the St. Elizabeth Provider Network, which includes providers and hospitals that participate in joint contracting with payers regarding care management and information technology infrastructure. Carle previously was COO of St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. Bruno Giacomuzzi, who has been chief operating officer of St. E's Fort Thomas hospital since February, is now also COO of St. Elizabeth's hospital in Florence. He will continue to also oversee daily operations of St. E's ambulatory center in Covington and the Falmouth drug and alcohol treatment center.
