VTB Capital has appointed Dimitrios Kavvathas as Head of Global Markets for Asia Pacific. In his role, Dimitrios will be responsible for managing, expanding and further developing VTB Capital’s sales, trading and origination capabilities in the region. He will be based in Hong Kong. Dimitrios brings with him over ten years of experience in the financial services industry. He joins VTB Capital after having recently retired from Goldman Sachs where he was promoted to Partner in 2008 and held several senior positions from 2001 - 2013. From 2009, he had worked on the Asia Pacific Securities Division Operating Committee as the co-Head of Asia Pacific ex-Japan Securities Distribution and Asia Pacific Head of Structuring. In 2012 he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs, Asia LLC.
