Pinterest Announces Executive Changes
Nov 6 13
Pinterest has hired newly appointed San Francisco Chronicle President Joanne Bradford to be head of partnerships. Bradford, who will leave at the end of the month, joined the Chronicle in May to oversee digital and marketing efforts. Publisher Jeffrey Johnson announced her planned departure in an email to the company's staff, according to his company's news website, SFGate.com. Johnson said Bradford will reportedly continue to advise the publishing company, and will also work on developing partnerships with its parent company, Hearst Corp. Bradford and Johnson are credited with overseeing major changes in web operations at The Chronicle and SF Gate, launching a mobile site and eliminating an initiative in which some content was offered only to subscribers and was unavailable on SFGate.com. Bradford, who has a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising from San Diego State University, was previously chief revenue officer at Microsoft, senior vice president at Yahoo and chief marketing and revenue officer at Demand Media. She has worked in ad product marketing, business development and computer programming, and has managed international sales teams.
