Lastline, Inc. Key Developments

Guidance Software and Lastline Partner for Faster Incident Response

Guidance Software announced a strategic partnership and integration with Lastline. The integration combines EnCase® Endpoint Security withLastline® Enterprise to automate incident response workflows and greatly reduce the time from detection to triage and response. With the new integration, Lastline Enterprise immediately shares threat intelligence with EnCaseEndpoint Security when it detects advanced malware. EnCase Endpoint Security validates potential threats by enriching the data and providing a threat score that enables security teams to prioritize the response. The unified incident response workflow leveraging Guidance and Lastline enables: Behavior-based detection – detect advanced and zero-day attacks, such as APT attacks, that signature-based solutions miss, Automated endpoint validation –ensure high-risk devices get the immediate attention they warrant, A 360-degree view of potentially effected endpoints –greatly reduce time to remediation by providing necessary information to security teams to fully assess the scope of the attack the moment it is first detected, Complete Remediation capabilities –block command and control traffic, kill malicious processes, and wipe offending files to ensure complete, forensic threat remediation.

Lastline Inc Announces Latest Enhancements to Lastline Enterprise

Lastline Inc. announced its latest enhancements to Lastline Enterprise for Global 5000 companies. The Spring 2017 Release adds capabilities to detect and eliminate browser based-attacks, speed incident investigation for security professionals, and provide early warning of unusual or suspicious network activity. This release also expands the ability for all organizations to benefit from the shared information stored within the Lastline Global Threat Intelligence Network. The company has substantially expanded the breadth, depth, and immediacy of threat intelligence data available to security analysts, for whom every second counts when trying to quickly understand and respond to malware and potentially damaging data breaches. Furthermore, the solution now includes network anomaly detection that speeds detection of malicious activity before a company suffers any data exfiltration.

Lastline and PhishMe Integrate Solutions to Combat Phishing Attacks

Lastline Inc. has teamed up with PhishMe to strengthen enterprise defenses against data breaches. With more than 90% of data breaches having a root cause attributed to phishing, organizations need to adopt an integrated product approach to thwarting cyber-attacks. Such an approach includes vigilance against the increasingly clever and creative spear phishing attempts, while at the same time maintaining constant network surveillance of program behaviors profiling evasive malware. When installed within the same enterprise environment, PhishMe Triage automates the prioritization, analysis, and response to phishing threats identified and reported by employees that bypass email security technologies. Triage then sends specific email payloads to Lastline for in-depth behavioral observation. Malware identification by PhishMe, together with Lastline, can be streamlined and incorporated into the security team's workflow to alert parties to take decisive action.
