Khawaja M. Zubair, Chairman, the KCA has been appointed as Trustee on the Board of Trustees of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) for the term 2014 to 2016 with effect from May 29, 2014. Khawaja M. Zubair, Sole Proprietor of M/s. Zubair Enterprises and M/s. Baltic Control Pakistan, Member-firms of this Association, has been engaged in Cotton Ginning, Indenting, Inspection, Controlling and Export Business for the last so many years. He had been elected as Vice-Chairman of the KCA for the year 2010 to 2011 and member of the Executive Committee of the KCA in so many years. Khawaja M. Zubair has also been appointed/elected as Chairman, FPPCI Standing Committee on Raw Cotton and Member Executive Committee of the FPCCI for the year 2014.

The Privatization Commission has formally prepared a list of 71 Public Sector Entities (PSEs) for divestment on fast-track basis subject to reaffirmation by the Council of Common Interests (CCI) of its approved privatization programme.
