IP Infusion Inc. Key Developments

IP Infusion Announces Partnership and Distribution Agreement with Dell

IP Infusion announced a distribution agreement with Dell which offers OcNOS™, the first, full-featured network operating system for data center and enterprise networking, that will deliver affordable MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) virtualization with Dell Open Networking switches, IP Infusion software and worldwide support. Under this partnership, Dell will resell the OcNOS network operating system running on Dell’s high performance Open Networking switches. Enterprises and service providers operating modern data centers are demanding open networking infrastructures with higher capacity, less complexity and the opportunity to add new services quickly and affordably. Dell’s reseller agreement with IP Infusion helps fill the current void in the networking industry of a full-featured networking operating system for service providers and enterprises. For this new approach to traditional MPLS virtualization, Dell worked closely with IP Infusion to help provide enterprise customers with a cost-effective and scalable MPLS-based network virtualization solution that provides secure connectivity and aggregated management. This joint solution will enable enterprise customers to adopt MPLS virtualization capabilities within their data centers and campus environments at a fraction of the cost, power, space and cooling requirements as compared to today’s market offerings. This partnership expands Dell’s open networking initiative by offering customers with OcNOS which features extensive protocol support for MPLS for enterprise and service provider class standalone networking systems. OcNOS is a fast, easy and affordable network operating system, allowing customers to select the best software and hardware to meet their growing needs as they adopt SDN technologies and to implement large-scale IT deployments based on the Open Compute Project, an open hardware movement and foundation. The solution based on the partnership delivers an economical, scalable and secure method of separating network users and resources across a common infrastructure using MPLS network virtualization. It enables enterprise organizations an alternative choice when looking to implement or expand use of MPLS-based platforms that take advantage of merchant silicon. The solution backs each and every deployment with a comprehensive suite of design, deployment and management services to help customers of all sizes globally.

IP Infusion Announces Agema Systems Selects its OcNOS Network Operating System for Open Compute Project Systems

IP Infusion Inc. announced that its new OcNOS, the first, full-featured network operating system for data center and enterprise networking, has been selected by Agema Systems to build a scalable network platform that aligns with the Open Compute initiative. With support for common software for multiple deployments and hardware, OcNOS gives carrier and enterprise class customers the foundation for a network that is much faster, simpler and more affordable.

IP Infusion Unveils OcNOS, Full-Featured Network Operating System, to Accelerate Adoption of Open Compute Project in Data Networks

IP Infusion Inc. unveiled OcNOS™, the first, full-featured network operating system for data center and enterprise networking, including advanced capabilities such as extensive protocol support for MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching). OcNOS brings the power of the Open Compute Project, an open hardware movement and foundation, to data networking to reduce operational complexity. Enterprises and service providers operating modern data centers need to create an infrastructure that has higher capacity, is less complex, and allows for fast and affordable addition of standard and new services. They require an approach that supports new, more fluid application architectures with greater agility and efficiency. Flexible programmable network is vital in providing service agility. Incumbent networking solutions are generally proprietary in nature with an emphasis on tight integration between custom hardware and software, network solutions that are expensive, complex, without common management toolkits to orchestrate, automate, administer, operate, monitor and maintain. This complexity at the management plane, leads to increased vulnerability to both systems and operator errors, and high CapEx and OpEx cost structures. OcNOS solves these problems by providing the crucial enterprise and carrier grade network operating system. Customers can take advantage of the price/performance of the “bare-metal” hardware as well as the agility and automation of the new generation of “software-defined” enterprise and data center software and the power of native Linux-based toolsets to create flexible network architectures. OcNOS, is a modular, multitasking networking operating system, that fills the void for an enterprise and service provider class standalone networking system that’s fast, easy, affordable, and gives network equipment manufacturers and network carriers the tight integration capabilities with commodity hardware they need to develop highly robust, scalable, redundant solutions that can be used in multiple deployment scenarios.
