Rosoboronexport to Supply Mobile Helicopter Maintenance Center to Peru
Feb 10 16
Rosoboronexport is ready to supply a mobile helicopter maintenance center to Peru so as to ensure timely and proper maintenance of Mi-8/17 helicopters (including the Mi-171Sh helicopters the supplies of which completed in December 2015). The offset agreement to the contract assumes the construction of a fixed maintenance center in the customer's territory. The parties are currently actively cooperating to implement this project. At the same time, to ensure high combat readiness of the helicopters, Rosoboronexport offered the Peruvian party to buy a mobile maintenance center as a provisional solution which can later be used in remote and hard-to-access regions. The mobile maintenance center is a quickly erectable facility (pneumatic tent) with a whole set of process equipment installed. The center has sufficient space for at least two Mi-8/17, Mi-28N, Mi-35M helicopters and workplaces of technical specialists. The mobile maintenance center installation time is a mere four hours.
