Hard Rock International announced the launch of Hard Rock Japan LLC. The company announced the appointment of Edward Tracy as chief executive officer of the company's new division. Hard Rock International to Open Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast in the Southeastern Region of Malaysia

Hard Rock International continues the expansion of its Hotel brand throughout Asia-Pacific by announcing Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast. Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast is slated to open fall 2017 in the southeastern region of Malaysia, in the state of Johor. The 365-room hotel will be part of the integrated destination resort, Desaru Coast, encompassing entertainment, restaurants, shopping, a waterpark and 45-holes of golf, among other leisure offerings. The project is in collaboration with Themed Attractions Resorts & Hotels Sdn Bhd, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, to develop, manage and operate destinations in Southeast Asia. The upcoming Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast will add to the vast array of entertainment and leisure offerings that will make Desaru Coast Malaysia's premium integrated destination. Guests of Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast will be centrally located in Phase 1 within Desaru Coast, overlooking and providing easy access to the Desaru Coast Adventure Water Park, as well as the Retail Village, the resort's waterfront shopping and social hub. Catering to the distinct needs of the modern traveler, Hard Rock Hotel guests will also have access to the fully equipped Desaru Coast Conference Center and two championship golf courses designed by golf professionals, Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.  Plans for Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast call for an assortment of offerings and amenities, including signature brand programs. Guests will enjoy a sparkling pool, complete with poolside bar and grill, as well as an all-day dining restaurant and fast-casual eatery. With no shortage of brand-exclusive amenities and programs, the hotel will feature a full-service Rock Spa® equipped with two outdoor treatment rooms and Rhythm & Motion®, the brand's differentiated music-infused spa treatments. Like all Hard Rock Hotels around the globe, the upcoming property will feature The Sound of Your Stay® music amenity program, providing guests with firsthand interactive musical experiences and the opportunity to check out a Fender guitar for in-room jam sessions.  Multigenerational travelers will take comfort in the Roxity Kids Club designed for young rockers ages 3-12, while having the opportunity to take their memories home through exclusive merchandise available at the Rock Shop®.
