Antioch College Announces Executive Changes

Antioch College announced that Dr. Thomas Manley, College president-elect, will begin his presidency in March 2016. He will succeed Mark Roosevelt, whose five-year contract expires at the end of 2015. Manley has been president of Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Ore., since 2003. He also has held administrative posts at Pitzer College in California.

Antioch College Announces Board Changes

Antioch College announced the appointment of Amanda Cole as the College's new director of alumni relations and the annual fund. Cole, an Antioch graduate of 2005, assumes the position previously held by Maureen Devine-Ahl, who recently relocated to the Washington, D.C. area due to her husband's military service.

Antioch College Reorganizes Leadership Positions

A leadership overhaul has meant several new hats for the leadership of Antioch College. These structural changes better position the college for the work ahead. Among the changes announced Brian Williams, vice president of advancement, is leaving in mid-May to join the Associated Colleges of the Midwest as vice president of faculty development and grant programs; Jennifer Jolls, director of institutional effectiveness, will become vice president of external relations and lead advancement and communication efforts; Louise Smith, who is dean of Community Life, will become an associate professor of performance. The dean position will be retitled as vice president of Student Success with a focus on admissions, financial aid and student life, and a search will begin for a new person for that role; and Hassan Rahmanian, vice president for academic affairs, has transitioned to a role overseeing global education, and the school will search for a new chief academic officer.
