Cuyahoga Community College First to Go Live on Accruent's All-New FAMIS System
Oct 30 13
Accruent announced that Cuyahoga Community College is the first customer to go live on the all-new, cloud-based version of its renowned FAMIS Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) for higher education institutions. The all-new IWMS system combines the purpose-built higher education functionality of the existing FAMIS system with a proven cloud-based technology platform that is already supporting facility management customers in other industries. The combination of an established functional design and a proven technology platform allowed Accruent to create a completely new, yet fully-featured solution for higher education in record time. FAMIS is a purpose-built, higher education IWMS designed to manage the complete facilities lifecycle -- from real estate acquisitions to project management, operations, maintenance, facilities management, asset management, inventory control and space management. Since 1982, FAMIS technology has stood out as a leader in providing robust facilities management functionality developed specifically for the higher education sector. The average FAMIS customer realizes over 600% return on investment over a five-year period from implementing the FAMIS suite for facilities lifecycle management. The new FAMIS is deployed exclusively via the cloud as a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution to reduce customers' total cost of ownership, enhance agility, and remove the burden of system maintenance and upgrades.
