Telecom Italia Media S.p.A. Enters Joint Venture with Fastweb SpA

Telecom Italia Media S.p.A. has agreed to form a joint venture with Fastweb SpA to develop fiber to the home (FTTH) that will provide connection speed at 1 gigabit per second. Telecom Italia will hold a 20% stake and Fastweb will hold an 80% stake in the JV. The joint venture will carry out civil works and fiber lay down in the secondary network (from street cabinets to customers premises) on behalf of the two companies.

TIM Denies Merger Talks With Oi

Oi S.A. (BOVESPA:OIBR4).which hired anco BTG Pactual SA to evaluate potential consolidation with Telecom Italia Media SpA (BIT:TIT) itself, Tim Brasil Serviços e Participações S.A. 's controller, has denied the merger talks. While denying the talks, TIM said in its statement that "remains attentive to any potential market opportunity."

Telecom Italia Media Delists From Milanstock Market

The merger of Telecom Italia and its media subsidiary Telecom Italia Media, or TI Media, took effect on October 1, 2015. Shares of TI Media were delisted from the Milanstock market.
