Bio-Tech Medical Software's BioTrackTHC Wins Medical Cannabis Software Government Contract from New Mexico Department of Health

The New Mexico Department of Health's Medical Cannabis Program has awarded BioTrackTHC, a division of Bio-Tech Medical Software, Inc., a contract for the provision and deployment of an integrated patient and provider tracking software application. This award makes BioTrackTHC the cannabis industry's first company with marijuana regulatory technology contracts in two states, following the company's existing contract for the state of Washington's Marijuana Seed-to-Sale Traceability System. The New Mexico Medical Cannabis Program (MCP) was created under the Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act to allow for the beneficial use of medical cannabis in a regulated system. In pursuit of its mission, the MCP issued an extensive RFP on July 22, 2014 for a software solution to maintain regulatory compliance. After extensive proposal evaluations and live software demonstrations, BioTrackTHC achieved a marijuana industry first: back-to-back government contract wins. In addition to its medical cannabis seed-to-sale traceability system, BioTrackTHC's contract-winning proposal includes a web-based registration system for all potential program cardholders (qualified patients, primary caregivers, licensed non profit producers, etc.) and a proprietary smartcard system designed to identify expired and counterfeited patient cards, as well as to prevent the over-dispensing of medical cannabis to any patient or caregiver.

The Washington State Liquor Control Board Selects BioTrackTHC

The Washington State Liquor Control Board has selected BioTrackTHC, a division of Bio-Tech Medical Software, Inc., to provide a legal marijuana traceability system to the agency. Accurately tracking marijuana throughout the entire supply chain is a major public safety component of the newly passed Washington legislation, Initiative 502. BioTrackTHC's traceability system will assist the WSLCB with tracking and monitoring all marijuana growth, processing, testing, and retail transaction data by marijuana licensees through the supply chain to help prevent diversion, promote public safety, and collect tax revenue. BioTrackTHC was among the 785 vendors the WSLCB directly notified about the contract opportunity; and out of 22 total proposals submitted, BioTrackTHC was the high scoring bidder for this historic contract: 1041.65 out of a possible 1200. BioTrackTHC's commercial seed-to-sale inventory tracking software has proven wildly popular within the legal marijuana industry and is currently utilized in nearly 200 medical marijuana producer, processor, and retailer operations across the United States and Canada. Gathering real-time location, growth-phase, production-phase, transportation, disposition, and point-of-sale data, BioTrackTHC's system is the most accurate seed-to-sale system on the market. An added benefit for those in Washington already using BioTrackTHC's commercial application to run their marijuana operations is that all of the WSLCB's periodic inventory reporting requirements will be automatically submitted -- eliminating the need for time consuming and error-prone manual or double data entry.
