Ceva Logistics Renews Transportation Services Contract with Akgida

Ceva Logistics has renewed and expanded its transportation services contract with Lactalis Group's subsidiary Akgida. Lactalis had commenced relationship with Ceva in 2011. Since last six years, Ceva has been providing full truck load (FTL) transportation services across Turkey. The services are providing from Akgida's Luleburgaz facility north west of Istanbul and Karaman in the south center of the country to sites across the country, including distributers and supermarket chains. Ceva now also involve in ground transportation services to and from Akgida's Sakarya production plant and for the recycling of plastic crates used in the delivery of milk and milk products to major supermarket chains across the country. According to Ceva, the contract to date has involved up to 13,000 trips using temperature controlled trucks and covered in excess of 16 million kms. The latest deal is expected to increase the kms covered by some 1.8 million kms.

CEVA Logistics Wins Five-Year Renewal Deal from UK Power Networks

CEVA Logistics has signed a five year renewal deal to manage the warehousing and distribution of UK Power Networks' (UKPN) cabling, plant and associated materials. CEVA first won the UKPN business in 2009 which was further extended to 2017 and now, following a full tender process, the company has won an expanded contract through to 2022.UK Power Networks owns and maintains electricity lines and cables as well as maintaining and upgrading power equipment across its network which covers London, Eastern and South Eastern regions. Under the terms of the main contract, CEVA will distribute electrical cables and plant items such as pole mounts, transformers and packaged sub-stations. It will also be responsible for the disposal of dumb meters from both homes and businesses after recording details of each asset before it is sent for recycling. The CEVA team is also responsible for managing UKPN's flood defence system which can be deployed and erected at short notice to defend strategic locations. This will sit alongside the provision of a 24/7/365 response service to deliver materials direct to engineers in London within 60 minutes, and four hours for delivery of other materials anywhere across the three regions.

Ceva Logistics Wins Three-Year Contract from Oak Tree Mobility

Ceva Logistics has secured a three-year contract from Oak Tree Mobility. Under the deal, Ceva will provide warehouse and distribution services to the Oak Tree Mobility's customers across the south of the UK. Ceva will use its Daventry shared-used facility to manage warehousing of products. The contract is part of Ceva UK's are NET program. The teams from Ceva will take responsibility for the collation of customer purchases, and then the delivery, set-up and fulfillment of the orders that comprised of adjustable beds and rise and recline chairs. It also helps to provide cross-docking functions from iPort.Image.
