VIA Motors announced that the company has appointed two highly respected business leaders, Suzanne H. Gilbert, a 30 plus year experienced executive in leading advertising and marketing communications companies, and Donald L. Runkle, a highly recognized business leader and product/process innovator, to the company's board of directors. Throughout her career, Suzanne has been recognized for her overall management skill, strategic insight, financial acumen, team-building skills, improving operational results and solving complex problems with innovative solutions. Prior to this appointment, Suzanne formed SHGilbert Consulting, served as Exec VP Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at Campbell-Ewald and served in executive positions at various worldwide advertising/marketing communications organizations. Among his impressive list of accomplishments, Don has led divisional profit turnarounds, international acquisitions and divestitures and new product creation. He is an operating executive for Tennenbaum Capital Partners and is a board member of Lear Corporation, WinCup, and the Lean Enterprise Institute. He was recently Executive Chairman and CEO of EcoMotors International and Chairman of EaglePicher and Autocam. Don was formerly Vice-Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Delphi Corporation. During his long tenure at General Motors, he was VP of Engineering, VP of Advanced Engineering, Chief Engineer of Chevrolet and Chief Engineer of Buick Powertrain & Racing.
