Nemak to Build a New Plant in Garcia, Nuevo Leon, in Northeastern Mexico

Nemak has announced that it will build a new plant in Garcia, Nuevo Leon, in northeastern Mexico. Availability of technical and human resources, and integration with existing manufacturing facilities were key drivers behind the choice of location. The plant will require the investment of approximately $125 million. It will incorporate High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) technology for the production of 2.2 million parts per year that will supply assembly lines in Mexico and the US. It will create more than 500 new direct jobs. The new plant will feature the most advanced manufacturing processes and technologies of the industry already existing in some of Nemak's plants in North America and Europe, which enhance the company's capacity to launch programs at a global scale with enough flexibility to meet the regional needs of its customers.
