Çukurova In Talks To With Firms To Sell Stake In Digiturk

Çukurova Holding A.S. is in talks with local and international firms to sell its 53% stake in Krea Icerik Hizmetleri & Produksiyon AS (Digiturk). Sakir Ercan Gul, head of Savings Deposit and Insurance Fund (SDIF) said that SDIF will hold a tender for the stake. SDIF does not participate in talks at this stage.

Türk Mulls Acquisition Of Digiturk

Türk Telekomünikasyon A.S. (IBSE:TTKOM) is planning to acquire Krea Icerik Hizmetleri & Produksiyon AS (Digiturk). According to the Hurriyet Daily News, Rami Aslan, Chief Executive Officer of Türk said that Türk is still interested in operator Digiturk. He said that it is too early to say whether Turk Telekom would participate in a tender to be held for the Digiturk stake sale as the firm needed to examine the tender conditions.

Al Jazeera Reportedly Weighs Bid For Stake In Digiturk

Al Jazeera Media Network is considering a bid for a majority stake in Digital Platform Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. (Digiturk), banking sources familiar with the plans said. Al Jazeera has appointed Barclays Capital to assist with its bid, the sources added. Savings Deposit and Insurance Fund who holds 53% stake in Digiturk declined to comment on a stake sale and an Al Jazeera spokesman was not available to comment.
