Viru Keemia Grupp AS to Open Second Sulphur Capture Device

Viru Keemia Grupp is to open its second NID emission control system built by Alstom for €6.3 million. Alstom also provided a sulphur capture device to VKG in 2008. The price tag of that project was €10 million.

Viru Keemia Group Opens Second Shale Oil Plant

Viru Keemia Group opened its second modern shale oil plant, Petroter 2. The plant cost EUR 65 million and is part of a EUR 150 million investment into energy by the company. A total of 100 direct and 400 indirect jobs have been created in Ida-Viru County and the state will rake in EUR 14 million a year in tax once the plant is fully operational, in a few weeks.

Viru Keemia Grupp Announces Plans for New Plants

Viru Keemia Grupp announced that in 2014 the second Petroter plant will be opened and in 2016 the third one will open. The three plants will more than double the company's present production capacity. In 2014 a fractionation column will be replaced. Preparations for the project lasted for several years and in 2013-2014 about EUR 3 million will be invested into it.
