Viru Keemia Grupp Launch Petroter III Shale Oil Processing Plan

Viru Keemia Grupp has launched the Petroter III shale oil processing plant. The plant is now operating at design capacity and is processing 130-135 tonnes of shale per hour. Construction of the Petroter III plant, which cost EUR 84 million, began in October 2013. VKG launched its first shale oil plant, with capacity of 380 tonnes of shale oil per day, in 2013, and Petroter II, with capacity of 3,000 tonnes of shale oil per day, was launched in the second half of 2014. Investment in the three plants totaled an estimated EUR 220 million.
