Cone Health Enters into a Management Services Agreement with Randolph Hospital, Effective June 1, 2016

Cone Health announced that it has entered into a management services agreement with Randolph Hospital that goes into effect June 1, 2016. Randolph officials said the agreement allows it 'to leverage the size, scale and subject matter expertise found in a larger health system'. Cone also has management agreements with Alamance Regional Medical Center and Annie Penn Hospital. Cone itself operates under a management contract with Carolinas Healthcare System of Charlotte.

Frank Riccardi, J.D., has been named vice president, chief compliance and privacy officer for Cone Health. Riccardi will work to ensure that Cone Health remains in compliance with Medicare and Medicaid requirements as well as federal regulations that mandate privacy of patient health information. He comes to Cone Health from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where he was chief compliance and privacy officer for VCU Health System in Richmond.
