National Disease Research Interchange Elects Mary J.C. Hendrix as Chair of the Board of Directors

National Disease Research Interchange announced the election of Mary J.C. Hendrix, PhD, as Chair of the Board of Directors. Dr. Hendrix was elected by unanimous vote at the fall meeting of the NDRI Board on October 29, 2015. Dr. Hendrix currently serves as the President and Chief Scientific Officer of the Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, and holds the Children’s Research Fund and the William G. Swartchild, Jr. Distinguished Research endowed professorships, and is a member of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The National Disease Research Interchange (NDRI) recently reported that three new directors have joined its board of directors. NDRI said that lending their expertise are financial experts Robert J. Marcantuono, CPA, vice president of accounting for the University City Science Center, and Jessica F. Mulholland, chief financial officer and controller for eXude, both of Philadelphia; as well as the former chief of the Biorepositories and Biospecimens Branch of the National Cancer Institutes, Jim B. Vaught, PhD, of Kensington, Maryland. Marcantuono, Mulholland and Vaught were elected Oct. 28 to three-year terms on the NDRI board.
