Panasonic India has expanded its handset footprint in South Asia. Panasonic has entered the Sri Lanka market with the launch of its mobile phone series.

Panasonic India unveiled three new smartphones, T41, P41 and P61 further broadbasing its offerings in the Indian market. The new range comes with pre-loaded popular apps and promise a premium smartphone experience. The T41, P41 and P61 models are equipped with Quad core 1.3GHz processor providing users with a smooth experience. Based on the latest Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, the phones are supported by a Full HD capable camera with auto focus & LED flash for enabling photography in different light conditions. Also, the introduction of Glide play feature in these phones enables apps to pop-out and glide along from one screen to the other. These devices also sport popular Panasonic proprietary features such as the Pop-i Player, Music Caf" and Gesture Play+ (directly access apps via gestures from the home screen), providing a seamless multi-tasking experience. The phones are available at the best price of INR 7,990 (T41), INR 14, 990 (P61) and INR 11,990 (P41). Panasonic is also offering T41 with freebies worth INR 9,900, P61 and P41 with INR 10, 990.
Panasonic Corporation Promotes Manish Sharma as Overall Managing Director of Panasonic India Pvt. Ltd

Panasonic Corporation has promoted its chief of consumer business Manish Sharma as the overall managing director of Panasonic India Pvt. Ltd. Sharma will be responsible for strategic planning, sales and marketing of both the consumer and enterprise divisions and has also been appointed into the board of the company. The elevation of Sharma is part of Panasonic's strategy of streamlining business structures to increase competitiveness and profitability across the group. Sharma had joined Panasonic in August 2008 as the product head for Viera televisions and subsequently took charge as director of marketing in 2010 and became the managing director of consumer product division last year. He has earlier worked for LG, Samsung and Haier.
