Specialists On Call, Inc. (SOC) announced the appointment of Hammad Shah as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Shah’s appointment will strengthen SOC’s capabilities to meet the growing demand for its services and its continued dedication to improved patient care. Mr. Shah comes to SOC with more than 20 years of strategic, operational and senior administrative experience in healthcare globally. Most recently, he served as President of FreseniusRx, where he successfully created a growth strategy that transformed the previously full-service pharmacy into a one of the country’s large renal specialty pharmacy providing health care expertise to patients living with kidney disease. Mr. Shah replaces Dr. Joe Peterson, who will be stepping down as CEO to focus on starting new emerging businesses.

Mitchell Rubin, MD, FAAN Chair, Neurology: Dr. Rubin joined SOC from Capital Health in Trenton, NJ where he served as Medical Director of the Neurology Center since 2010. Timothy J. Shephard, PhD, CNS, CNRN Vice President, Neurology Service Line: Dr. Shephard's 28 year history in health care has spanned clinical, administrative and business development roles for single facility, multi-facility systems and inter-state system program development in the neurosciences. Dr. Shephard has worked as consultant and research project director for the American Heart Association and American Academy of Neurology, and chaired state, regional and national (CDC/NINDS) health care system development programs implementing measurement & tracking methods for state health systems and using these data to support legislation to improve community health on a macro scale. He is responsible for building and leading Specialists On Call's thriving neurology practice.
