Friends Provident International Announces Executive Changes

Friends Provident International has named Andrew Waddell as the new managing director for its Singapore arm, replacing Chris Gill. Gill has decided to depart from the firm due to family reasons and will return to the UK. Waddell, whose appointment is effective immediately, will be based in Singapore. Waddell earlier served as principal and executive director at Lahinch Partners. Before that he co-headed the establishment of AMP Advice, following the merger of AMP and AXA Australia.

Friends Provident International announced the appointment of Charles Barrows as Managing Director of FPI Hong Kong with immediate effect. He reports directly to Adrian Emery, Chief Executive Officer. Having been with Aviva for over 20 years, Charles has extensive experience in financial services and strong knowledge of Asian markets. He most recently held the role of Chief Executive Officer of Aviva Hong Kong, and previously of Chief Financial Officer of Aviva Asia.
