European Banking Federation. Appoints Jose Maria Roldan Alegre as Vice President

Mr. Jose Maria Roldan Alegre, Chairman and CEO of the Spanish Banking Association AEB, has been appointed as Vice President of the European Banking Federation. His appointment was agreed in Riga, Latvia, in the 120th Board meeting of the EBF. Mr. Roldan has led the AEB since April 2014. He was Director General of Banking Regulation of the Bank of Spain and member of its Executive Board between 2000 and 2013. During his tenure as DG he was member of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. Mr. Roldan was also the first Chairman and founder of the Committee of European Banking Supervisors.

European Banking Federation has named Frederic Oudea as new president, replacing Christian Clausen effective January 1, 2015. Oudea has been elected as a president for a period of two years. Oudea has served as a member Societe Generale Group's management board since 2002, initially as chief financial officer, and most recently as chairman and chief executive since 2009. Clausen is currently president and group CEO of Nordea Bank AB.
