The Daily Beast announced the appointment of Bill McGarry as the online news organization's chief revenue officer effective February 23, 2015. McGarry joins The Daily Beast at a time of significant growth. In the fourth quarter 2014, unique visitors increased 38% and mobile growth has been particularly strong, continuing the tremendous momentum seen throughout 2014. IAC Reportedly Plans To Sale Of Daily Beast

IAC/InterActiveCorp (NasdaqGS:IACI) Chairman Barry Diller is looking at selling The Newsweek/Daily Beast Company LLC, according to a Bloomberg report. Brown had explored the idea of a sale with Diller before she announced her departure as editor-in-chief, although the company hasn't made any formal moves to put itself up for sale, Bloomberg said, citing an unnamed source familiar with the matter. "We're always looking at the best options for all of our businesses," IAC spokeswoman Justine Sacco told Bloomberg.

Penske Reportedly Eyes Newsweek

Jay Penske is looking to buy The Newsweek/Daily Beast Company LLC from IAC/InterActiveCorp (NasdaqGS:IACI), sources said. Penske had no comment.
