Shareable Ink has named a new CEO. Hal Andrews will lead the company, effective immediately. He replaces Laurie McGraw, a former Allscripts executive who joined the company after an investment round led by Lemhi Ventures. Andrews resume includes a stint as CEO of Data Advantage, which was acquired by Press Ganey, as well as executive positions at Cogent Healthcare and Essent Healthcare. He has been a member of Shareable Ink's board of directors since 2010.

In his role of CGO, he will oversee sales, business development and marketing. Most recently, Shorten served as senior vice president of Sales at Allscripts for thirteen years. Shorten has also held the roles of national sales manager, ChannelHealth at IDX Systems, regional sales director at Genzyme, and sales executive at US Surgical.

Surgical Notes and Shareable Ink announced a new strategic partnership, effective immediately. The new partnership will allow physicians in ASCs the ability to immediately enter information electronically preserving their fast, familiar workflows, using Shareable Ink products as the front-end input for the Surgical Notes' solution. They will now have the ability to effortlessly capture better and higher quality data at the point of care by using the tools that they are comfortable using, such as the digital pen and iPad. Once entered, the data becomes actionable, because it can be used to improve quality and financial performance. Near-term plans include integration between Surgical Notes' ScanChart with Shareable Ink's natural input tools to keep clinicians productive, ASCs efficient, and patients satisfied with streamlined communications. Additionally, Shareable Ink's new reporting tool, Insights, will be part of the integration plans, which will help identify operational efficiencies at the facility level, streamline and shorten the billing process, and prepare organizations for accreditations and audits.
