Volvo India Plans to Launch S90

Volvo India announced that it is planning to launch its S90 in India. The model is based on the company's SPA platform after the XC90. It is to compete with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF and Audi A6. The vehicle will be offered only in the 'Inscription' variant and features LED headlights along with the 'Thor's Hammer' daytime-running LEDs, a chrome front grille with 'floating-effect' slats along with chrome highlights on the side and 18-inch alloy wheels, front, side and curtain airbags, ABS, emergency brake assist, ISOFIX, park-assist and lane-keep assist. It is equipped with a 'D4' four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 190PS and 400Nm of torque.

Volvo India to Launch T8 Specification of XC90

Volvo is launching its T8 specification of the XC90. The model is to be priced at INR 12 million. The vehicle is equipped with a two-litre petrol engine that is both supercharged and turbocharged, in conjunction with an electric motor to produce 420bhp and 640 Nm of torque. The engine is called Drive-E Powertrain and is available with five driving modes. It features a four-seat layout, with all the seats trimmed in perforated Nappa leather and rear individual seats with massage and ventilation functions, and the rear passengers also have access to the infotainment system through a retractable touch screen. It also has folding tables, a refrigerator, heated and cooled cup holders, crystal glasses, extra sound deadening and Pirelli Noise Cancelling System tyres. It is based on the new Scalable Product Architecture Platform from Volvo.
