Volvo India Launches S60 Cross Country in India

Volvo India launched S60 Cross Country in India by early 2016. The model is priced at INR 400,000 to INR 500,000 more than the present S60 sedan. It is aimed at customers who are adventure seekers. The model is available in four body style. It features a new dashboard design, quality material throughout its cockpit and an instrument cluster with four digital gauges and TFT screen displaying driving aids and trip specific information. It is available with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. These include the D5, 2.4-litre five-cylinder diesel engine that produces 188 bhp at 4,000 rpm and 420 Nm torque at 1,500-3,000 rpm, coupled with a six-speed automatic gearbox. The D4 is equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine generating 178bhp at 4,250 rpm and 400Nm torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm while petrol options for the sedan include a 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine that produces 247 bhp at 5,400 rpm and 360 Nm torque at 1,800-4,200 rpm, coupled with a six-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive. In India, the vehicle will be sold as a CBU, and only with one engine option, a D4 that produces 178bhp.
Volvo India Launches Second Generation XC90 in India on May 12, 2015

Volvo India is launching its second generation XC90 in India on May 12, 2015. The model is to compete with the BMW Q5, Audi Q7 and Mercedes Benz GL-Class. The vehicle will be available with a choice of one diesel and two petrol engines. All versions will be offered with a 2.0-litre engine. The automaker is also offering a top of the range plug-in hybrid version-XC90 T8. The model is to be equipped with a 1969cc four-cylinder turbo diesel motor that generates 222bhp at 4,250rpm and a peak torque of 470Nm at 1750rpm and maxing out at 2500rpm. The engine is coupled with eight-speed automatic gearbox. It is based on Volvo's new Scalable Platform Architecture. It features Adaptive cruising, 360 degree camera, Active high beam, Park Assist pilot, Blind Spot information, Lane Assist, Forward collision warning, three point seatbelts and super-strong boron steel body.
