LamdaGen Corporation Launches Taiwan Diagnostic Subsidiary

LamdaGen Corporation announced the opening of a wholly-owned subsidiary, LamdaGen Nanotechnology Taiwan Co., LTD. In Asia, LamdaGen Taiwan will commercialize a number of powerful, single-step, rapid and precisely quantitated POCT diagnostics with sensitivities into the low to sub-femtomolar range using a single sample drop. LamdaGen Taiwan has entered into definitive agreements with Taipei Medical University Hospitals (TMU) for clinical trials of its digital POCT system – including trials for important cancer, cardiovascular and infectious disease targets. Additionally, LamdaGen Taiwan is establishing a collaborative R&D facility within TMU and has also contracted with 3D Global Biotech Inc. for GMP manufacturing of its nano-based POCT products in Taiwan.

Abaxis, Inc. and LamdaGen Corporation announced an R&D agreement to integrate LamdaGen's high-sensitivity Plasmonic ELISA technology on the Abaxis Piccolo and VetScan rotors. LamdaGen's patented biosensor platform is based upon LSPR (Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance) and provides rapid, quantitative diagnostic results with broad dynamic range and detection levels in the femtomolar range. If proven viable, both medical and veterinary customers will be able to simultaneously analyze for chemistry parameters as well as for infectious disease, hormones and a wide range of
other markers on the same rotor.

Abaxis Inc. reported the execution of an R&D agreement to expand its global diagnostic offerings through LamdaGen Corporation. This partnership is expected to integrate LamdaGen's high-sensitivity Plasmonic ELISA technology on the Abaxis Piccolo and VetScan rotors.
