AccessData Group, Inc. Key Developments

AccessData Group Announces the Release of Summation 5.6

AccessData Group announced the release of Summation 5.6, an enhanced version of the company's eDiscovery software platform with robust new features that improve case organization, analysis and collaboration. Summation is the only web-based solution that combines comprehensive data processing, early case assessment, case management, final review and transcript management into a single platform. The software provides a real-time review platform that allows secure collaboration, regardless of where any member of the litigation team is located. AccessData specifically designed Summation Reader for firms who are currently using non-traditional eDiscovery tools (e.g., Microsoft Office® applications) to do legal review that could potentially change metadata and other software programs (e.g., Adobe®), which do not support requirements for native review. If a user wishes to produce the data out of Summation - or wishes to convert to being an ongoing Summation customer - they can easily purchase licenses from AccessData and immediately turn the free version into a full Summation installation that unlocks full functionality of the software. Other new features in Summation 5.6 include the following: Document Unitization - when viewing a document in the standard Summation viewer, users can now break large documents into smaller ones, combine one or more smaller documents into a larger one, move pages within the same document to another location, or rotate pages within the document for easier viewing; Video Transcript Support - users can upload and view digital video transcripts (.CMS or .MDB files) with full synchronization of the transcript text and the accompanying video; and search excerpt reports - after performing searches users can generate an interactive Search Excerpt View which displays the resulting documents and text excerpts meeting the search criteria. Users can choose to view a document, search excerpt or export the list as a CSV file.

AccessData and HP Extend Incident Response Services in the Wake of Increased Attacks

AccessData announced an extended collaboration with HP to address the major challenges global organizations face following a major cyber-attack. New offerings through HP's Digital Investigations Services integrate AccessData's ResolutionOne(TM) Platform to provide advanced threat intelligence and rapid incident response across company networks, endpoints, mobile devices and applications. HP's Rapid Incident Response (RIR) Services help organizations immediately following an attack with technology and expertise to provide rapid, onsite digital investigations and forensics. The integration of the ResolutionOne Platform speeds up the process through continuous, automated incident resolution. This solution enables comprehensive, real-time insight, analysis, response and resolution of data incidents. The ResolutionOne Platform's network and host-based forensics extends the functionality of HP's RIR service with advanced capabilities: comprehensive root cause analysis, full packet capture network forensics, advanced computer forensics (hard drive, memory, and peripherals), malware triage, and enterprise-wide auditing for compromise assessment. ResolutionOne also enables real-time collaboration among all security and response teams, and provides automated batch remediation so organizations can eradicate threats, not just contain them.

Druva Expands Endpoint eDiscovery Enablement with AccessData Partnership

Druva announced a partnership with AccessData that accelerates, improves and lowers the cost of eDiscovery for data housed on desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The partnership leverages the abilities of Druva's inSync endpoint data protection and governance platform - including continuous endpoint data collection that provides a complete historical record of employee and ex-employee files - to quickly supply litigation-related endpoint information to AccessData's AD eDiscovery solution. The integrated Druva/AccessData solution mitigates these governance pressures by providing full visibility of endpoint content along with the ability to identify, collect, preserve and ingest relevant data into AccessData's eDiscovery software for document review. Enterprises can remotely deploy inSync across company- and employee-owned devices without end user knowledge, eliminating physical data collection as well as risks to data integrity. inSync will transparently and continuously create a centralized record of all endpoint data and shared files with no telltale device slowdown, identify litigation-related files through federated search, and place a legal hold on relevant data without exporting it to an intermediary server. Legal administrators can access the collected data through an inSync tab in AccessData's eDiscovery dashboard, and add it to data collected by the eDiscovery platform from dozens of other sources ranging from network shares and email servers to databases and structured data repositories.
