In addition, the association provides online information about a range of products and services related to the telecom industry. ECTA is based in Wokingham, the United Kingdom with an additional office in Brussels, Belgium.

European Competitive Telecommunications Association Announces Management and Executive Appointments

Gijs Phoelich, general counsel and company secretary of Dutch fibre-optic network services provider Eurofiber, has been elected chairman of the board of directors of the European Competitive Telecommunications Association. Phoelich, who succeeds BT's Hubertus von Roenne in the post, described 2016 as critical to creating a fully connected Europe. The ECTA Board also appointed Martin Witt, CEO of 1&1 and president of VATM, as its vice-chairman.

European Competitive Telecommunications Association announced that Hubertus von Roenne, vice-president for BT's Global Industry Practice, has been elected chairman of the board of directors. Von Roenne pledged to help build a truly pan-European and competitive digital single market in which consumers and businesses receive the world-class services they need at fair prices and conditions. The new term will be von Roenne's second stint as ECTA chairman, a responsibility he previously held in 2010 after being a board member between 2006 and 2010.
