In his new role, he will oversee all A/E business units and all design services, including facilities, process, and packaging, in the home office and regional offices. The creation of this role elevates A/E practice leadership to a senior level working closely with Group Presidents to collaborate on the best design services to meet client needs. Haskell Serves New Client in South Carolina Through the Hardeeville Water Reclamation Facility Project
May 13 15
Haskell's Water Division was recently awarded the Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) Hardeeville Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Upgrade project in South Carolina. The construction management at-risk project consists of expanding the current plant from 1.01 million gallons per day (MGD) to a 2.7 MGD capacity, with potential future expansion to 4.0 MGD maximum month average daily flow, to service the growing community. Several large customers, with the potential to have substantial output, have recently moved into the BJWSA service area, and will eventually put a stress on the existing facility. This project will meet the needs of the expanding community and the new business that continues to grow in Beaufort and Jasper Counties, and will also achieve the new NPDES limits with the Savannah River TMDL. The Hardeeville WRF Upgrade project is a necessity in the region and represents a significant financial investment in the community. The project will be funded through the South Carolina State Revolving Fund (SRF), and Haskell is fully committed to achieving the required goals for DBE participation. BJWSA anticipate that there will be ample opportunities during construction of the project for MBE and WBE businesses to provide goods and services to achieve the program goals. BJWSA also plans to qualify the project for SRF Green Project Reserve (GPR) Funds through the EPA. Haskell is confident that it will successfully secure this funding, having recently been awarded $1.5 million in GPR funding for a similar water treatment project. Haskell demonstrated to the BJWSA that selecting a team which specializes in construction management at-risk delivery of wastewater treatment plants will provide certainty of outcome and support their efforts to foster regional growth. This $19 million project is set to commence in late 2015 and will be fully operational by mid 2017.
