Derrick L. Tallman has joined University Health Services (UHS) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as associate director and director of finance and human resources. He replaces Maria T. Coach, who retired during the summer after more than 40 years with the university. Tallman most recently served as administrator of Western Massachusetts Hospital in Westfield. For the last seven years, Tallman has served as a member of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's governing body for the state's four public health hospitals.
