YellowPepper Partners with Carta Worldwide to Bring Host Card Emulation Payments to Latin America

YellowPepper announced a partnership with Carta Worldwide to bring HCE (Host Card Emulation) payments to Latin America. YellowPepper will expand its existing product line to include HCE technology. HCE is a software-based solution that allows an NFC enabled device to emulate a card to make secure, contactless transactions without the need of a Secure Element (SE). This technology will bring banks, merchants and consumers in the region the latest in mobile payments technology. This addition will help YellowPepper in their continued expansion across Latin America by providing a variety of solutions designed to fit any client. Carta Worldwide will be licensing their HCE technology to YellowPepper that will leverage its regional footprint with over 50 leading financial institutions and retailers to introduce the new technology to them and future clients.

Vodafone Group plc Announces New Agreements with Visa and Carta Worldwide

Vodafone Group Plc announced that, following the new agreements with Visa and Carta Worldwide, bank card payments via Vodafone Wallet will be enabled in European markets from the second quarter of 2015 onwards. The company's customers will be able to add bank cards to their Vodafone Wallet and use smart phones to pay for goods and services at contactless terminals. The service requires a Vodafone NFC SIM, and will be supported on a wide range of Android smart phones.
