Arqiva has appointed Simon Beresford-Wylie as chief executive. Beresford-Wylie, who takes up his new position in August, will replace outgoing chief executive John Cresswell who stepped down from the role earlier this month. Beresford-Wylie joins the firm from Samsung Electronics, where he was based in Korea as a special advisor overseeing a review of the strategy and operations of the company's network business.

Arqiva Appoints Mike Parton as Chairman

Arqiva has appointed Mike Parton to the role of chairman. Parton will oversee the business on behalf of Arqiva's shareholders and takes over from Peter Shore who has been chairman since 2007. Parton took on the role of chief executive of Marconi in 2001. Between 2001 and 2006 he was responsible for the financial and operating restructuring of Marconi before overseeing a sale of the company to Ericsson. In 2007, he became chairman of Damovo and joined the board of Tele2, becoming chairman there in 2010. Parton stepped down from the board of Damovo in 2015 following a sale of the company.
